How Can I Be Saved?

The gospel is good news about what God has done in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not earned by religious activity, moral improvement, family background, or private spirituality.
These answers offer a beginning. Read the passages in context and speak with a faithful pastor who can help you respond and become rooted in a local church.
01Why do I need salvation?
All people have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. Sin is not merely imperfection; it is rebellion that brings guilt, corruption, separation, and death.
We cannot repair this separation through effort. We need God to rescue and reconcile us.
02What did Jesus do?
The eternal Son of God became truly human, lived without sin, died for our sins, and rose bodily from the dead. His sacrifice is sufficient; His resurrection declares His victory.
Salvation rests in Christ’s finished work rather than the quality of our religious performance.
03How do I receive salvation?
Mark 1:14–15; Ephesians 2:8–10
God calls us to repent and believe the gospel. Repentance turns from sin toward God; faith entrusts us to Jesus as Savior and Lord.
We are saved by grace through faith. Good works follow as the fruit of new life, not the cause of acceptance.
04What should happen after I believe?
Confess Christ openly, receive baptism, devote yourself to biblical teaching, fellowship, prayer, worship, and the Lord’s Supper, and learn obedience within a faithful church.
Assurance grows as we rest in God’s promise and see the Spirit’s work producing a life that increasingly follows Christ.
